This series of 25 slides permits a first permits a frist travel inside the animal world, a travel that starts from the simplest beings made by single cell as Protozoa, right up to the insects going across the Celenterates (as an example we choose fresh water Hydra, a ltttle polyp famous for its capacity to regenerate each part was cut, that you can find adhering to the leaves of underwaterplants of a brook or a pond), then the simplest flatworms as the Turbellaria, the more complex worms as the Ascarids, intestinal parasites, then the Molluscs and finally the insects.
Because they really dominate among animals (we know many hundreds of thousands of insect species) it is correct to give space to these specimens of inscts that will permit to the young scoholar to observe some important characteristics, that will permit him to understand the alimentary habits (female mosquito pricks and sucks blood, butterfly extends its trumpet to drain flowers nectar), the moving habits (leaping, swimming, digging), the working habits (Honey bees have posterior legs with pollen sacs).
Konus's prepared slide set is the perfect microscope accessory. It allows you to use your new microscope right "out of the box". Each prepared slide is full size - 1" x 3" (25mm x 76mm) ensuring correct color and sharp images of the specimens. This 25pc set includes:
